Modern Slavery Statement
Cleaners W14 Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Cleaners W14 in respect of our operations and supply chains. Cleaners W14 is committed to conducting business in an ethical and responsible manner and to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation have no place in our organisation or in the services we provide.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Cleaners W14 maintains a strict zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not accept any form of forced, bonded, compulsory, or child labour, and we expect the same high standards from all individuals and organisations we work with. This commitment applies to our employees, agency workers, contractors, and every level of our supply chain.
All working relationships must be based on freely chosen employment, fair treatment, and mutual respect. Any breach or suspected breach of this zero-tolerance policy is treated as a serious matter that may result in the termination of business relationships and, where appropriate, notification to the relevant authorities.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Cleaners W14 provides cleaning and related services. Our supply chains primarily include providers of cleaning products and equipment, facilities services, and labour agencies. We recognise that certain areas of the cleaning and facilities management sector can be at higher risk of labour exploitation, and we are committed to carefully managing those risks.
All suppliers are required to comply with applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws. We make it clear that respect for human dignity and safe working conditions is a non-negotiable requirement of doing business with Cleaners W14.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We operate a risk-based approach to supplier management. Before entering into or renewing any significant supplier relationship, we may conduct due diligence proportionate to the level of risk. This may include reviewing the supplier’s policies on modern slavery, labour practices, recruitment, and health and safety.
Cleaners W14 reserves the right to carry out audits or request evidence from suppliers to demonstrate compliance with our standards. These audits may review worker documentation, recruitment processes, payment records, and working conditions. Where concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier to implement corrective actions within an agreed timeframe, or, if necessary, end the business relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage all staff, workers, contractors, and suppliers to speak up if they have concerns regarding modern slavery or unethical labour practices in any part of our business or supply chain. Reports may be made to a line manager, a senior manager, or another trusted company representative.
All concerns raised in good faith will be taken seriously and investigated as appropriate. We are committed to protecting individuals who report concerns from retaliation or detrimental treatment. Confidentiality will be respected to the extent possible, and issues will be addressed promptly and fairly.
Training and Awareness
Cleaners W14 works to raise awareness of modern slavery risks within our business. Relevant employees, particularly those involved in recruitment, procurement, and supplier management, may receive training or guidance to help them identify the signs of exploitation and understand the procedures for reporting concerns.
We also communicate our expectations to suppliers and contractors, reinforcing that compliance with modern slavery and human trafficking laws is a core condition of our commercial relationships.
Monitoring, Annual Review, and Continuous Improvement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed at least annually to ensure it remains accurate, effective, and aligned with our values and legal obligations. As part of this review, we consider feedback from audits, risk assessments, incident reports, and changes in legislation or industry best practice.
We are committed to continuous improvement and will update our procedures where necessary to strengthen the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking. Cleaners W14 will continue to refine our due diligence processes, enhance staff awareness, and work collaboratively with suppliers to uphold human rights and ethical standards across all operations.
This statement represents the commitment of Cleaners W14 to act with integrity and vigilance in all our dealings, and to contribute to the wider effort to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking.
